.
Somatic Experiencing is a gentle, body-centered approach to healing trauma, developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It’s based on the understanding that trauma doesn’t just live in our thoughts or memories — it’s also held in the body. Through this work, people are guided to notice and explore physical sensations, like tension or discomfort, in a way that supports the body’s natural ability to release and heal.
Rather than focusing on the story or reliving past events, Somatic Experiencing works in the present moment. It helps people tune into subtle shifts in their bodies and gently complete the body’s instinctive stress responses — like fight, flight, or freeze — that may have been interrupted or stuck. This process can bring a sense of regulation and ease to the nervous system, and is often used to support healing from anxiety, PTSD, and chronic stress.

Brandon Parkhurst is a Certified Core Energetics Practitioner and Somatic Therapy Coach with over a decade of experience guiding individuals and groups through deep emotional work. His approach blends somatic psychotherapy with trauma-informed techniques to help people reconnect with their bodies, release stored emotion, and unlock a more authentic sense of self.
With a strong focus on emotional intelligence and nervous system regulation, Brandon creates safe, connected spaces where individuals can work through challenges like addiction, trauma, grief, anxiety, burnout, and anger. His unique ability to foster deep connection supports meaningful breakthroughs and lasting transformation.
Brandon holds a CCEP certification after 13 years of intensive training and many years of study at the Radical Aliveness Institute. He has worked with a wide range of clients — from Wounded Warriors and the United States Air Force to numerous drug and alcohol treatment centers, including both high-end facilities and county-run programs.
He’s led powerful, somatic-based workshops across the globe — from Costa Rica to Bali — often integrating music, movement, and expressive techniques for a fully embodied healing experience.
Before stepping fully into this path, Brandon toured the world as a musician with bands like Green Day and Blink-182. That experience, while creatively fulfilling, also brought him face-to-face with his own struggles — ultimately leading him into recovery and sparking his deep commitment to healing work.
He later co-founded a conscious B-Corp apparel company, Portal, aimed at destigmatizing the conversation around mental health and co-founded this nonprofit (H37P!) providing dynamic, community-based programs that support mental and emotional well-being through advocacy, outreach, and healing-centered care.
Virtual and in-person sessions available.
